We are STRONGER together than we are APART!

If you want to go quickly, go alone. If you want to go fargo together.” ~African proverb.

In a society where its so easy to be apart; a society that pushes individualism; it is easy to think that you don’t need anyone. It is easy to think that you can do everything by yourself and survive just fine. But, the funny thing is nobody wants to be alone. Nobody wants to do everything themselves. They want the help. They want a support system. They want to know that if something happens they will have a shoulder to lean on. Somebody to depend on. Someone to help relieve the stress.

We are stronger together than we are apart! We can do so much when we have a team of people that come together to make things happen. Especially WOMEN. There is this stereotype that black women don’t get along and that we can’t work together. That is furthest from the truth. Black women are out here healing together, laughing together, praying together and building empires together. You just have to find the right women that fit you, that will add to your life in a positive and productive way.

If you are not involved in a sisterhood, have a good support group of like-minded women around you…you should look into it. There is nothing more powerful then beautiful black women coming together and making things happen. No drama. No petty arguments. Of course, everybody is human. Of course everybody is not going to agree. There will be problems within a sisterhood. But there will also be resolution. There won’t be a time when you can’t talk to your sister about your concerns or frustrations. We are not going to grow arguing about petty things. We are not going to grow talking down on each other. We are doing more damage that way. That is the difference between any average relationship. There is POWER. There is something REVOLUTIONARY about strong black women working together for the collective. When the women bang together…EVERYTHING ELSE COMES TOGETHER!!
