Everybody has a purpose. There is a reason you are on this earth. You are not just here to take up space. You have a mission, a purpose, a reason to make the world better. Everybody has one. What is yours? If you are unsure of your purpose think of this: If there was no money involved, would you still do what you do right now? The answer to this question determines if you are living in your purpose or not.
Having a purpose is extremely important. If you don’t have a purpose, what do you have? You have to have something that keeps you going. Having a purpose helps you feel fulfilled. It helps you make the world, your community, family, and friends better. Most people spend their whole lives working, doing what they feel is right, but still feel empty and incomplete. That is mostly due to the fact that these people are not living in their purpose. They are not doing what they really want to do, but instead doing what they have to.
When you find your purpose; you will know. You will feel a sense of completeness. I knew writing was my purpose when I asked myself the question above. If no money was involved; would I still do this? And the answer was a definite yes. Purpose doesn’t always involve money. You can monetize your passion, of course (will talk more in next blog), but that should not be the focus. You should not be money hungry. Because when the money is gone, what else do you have? What is going to keep you motivated? What will keep you moving? That’s when purpose comes into play.
As I stated earlier everybody has a purpose. Spend this lifetime fulfilling your mission. Take it SERIOUS! Don’t play with it. We don’t have but so much time in this physical realm. Spend it doing what you KNOW you are supposed to do, NOT what you feel you HAVE to do to survive. Live and pursue your purpose by any means.
